Our Organic Shiitake Extract 8:1 is made of the dried organic Shiitake mushroom by the process of grinding, extraction, concentration and spray drying. Shiitake，scientific name Lentinus edodes, is an edible fungus, used in traditional Asian cooking and herbal medicine over 1000 years. Shiitake are rich in polysaccharides and beta-glucans. These compounds protect against cell damage, help immune system, and boost white blood cell production for fighting off microbes.
