From Nature to Farm: The Benefits of Cultivated Turkey tail


In June 2025, Biosan celebrated the first harvest of its organically cultivated Turkey Tail mushrooms, marking the transition from wild collection to sustainable, controlled cultivation.

Overharvesting of wild Turkey Tail mushrooms had caused a decline in natural populations, making it increasingly difficult to meet market demand. In addition, environmental pollution exposed wild mushrooms to heavy metals and pesticide residues, raising safety concerns. Seasonal and regional variations also resulted in inconsistent levels of bioactive compounds.

To address these challenges, Biosan began researching manual cultivation methods two years ago and has successfully established its own organic Turkey Tail production bases. The mushrooms are grown under controlled, eco-friendly conditions, ensuring consistent quality, high bioactive content, and full traceability.
